Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Material Handler for the Holland, MI plant. This W shift (6 AM–6 PM, M-TH) requires operating a forklift, handling inbound/outbound materials, and supporting inventory needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, basic English proficiency, and at least 1 month of related experience. The role may involve weekend work and requires strong organizational skills and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely perform duties.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Previous Hilo driving experience preferred.
• Able to work up to 12 hours per day, including weekends.
• Ability to use basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in needs analysis and training sessions.
• Support continuous improvement activities and audits.
• Stop work on processes as needed to contain defects.
• Operate forklift to move pallets, skids, and materials.
• Position forks and lifting devices; transport loads to designated areas.
• Unload, stack, and inventory materials on the work floor.
• Weigh materials and record data on tags or schedules.
• Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks.
