Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is seeking a 2nd shift Material Handler/Forklift Operator. You will operate forklifts to move pallets, unload and load materials, and support plant flow while following strict safety procedures.

This role requires physical endurance and the ability to work overtime when needed. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, basic English proficiency, and up to 12-hour shifts including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Stand for 8–10 hours and perform essential tasks, with or without accommodation.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive safely and use basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Move materials within the plant and supply workers with items as needed.
• Load/unload materials onto pallets or lifting devices and stack materials.
• Rotate through job responsibilities to support plant flow and meet customer needs.
