Job summary

OBE in Terrell, TX is seeking a Material Handler 1 to move metal products from tables, crates and trucks and report to the Production Supervisor. Prior warehouse experience and a safety-first mindset are preferred.

You will perform material transport, quality inspection, and rotating tasks, using a tape measure to verify specifications and ensuring products meet tolerances. Weekend flexibility is required; OBE offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
• An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler 1 is focused on moving metal products from tables, facility, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
