Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Terrell, TX is hiring a Material Handler 1 to move metal products from tables, facilities, delivery trucks, or wood crates and report to the Production Supervisor.

You will perform quality inspections, operate equipment, rotate tasks, inspect for abnormalities, and use a tape measure to verify specifications. A safety-first mindset and ability to read paperwork are essential; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
• A safety-first approach in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler 1 is focused on moving metal products from tables, facility, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
