OBE is hiring a Material Handler 2 for the Custom Entrance fabrication team in Terrell, TX, 2pm–10:30pm. You will move metal products from tables, trucks, and crates to the production area, performing quality checks and using a tape measure to verify specifications.

The role emphasizes attention to safety, reliability, and problem-solving within the Fabrication department. Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility preferred.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials (metal, doors, frame) from tables, delivery trucks, or crates for eight hours daily.
• Quality inspection and equipment operation or manual handling.
• Perform rotating job functions as needed.
• Inspect products and notify supervisor of issues.
• Measure products to ensure they meet specifications.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler 2is focused on moving metal products from tables, facility, delivery trucks, or wood cratesand reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Fabrication department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Transport of materials including metal, doors, frame from tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
