Join Our Team as a Material Handler (3rd Shift) at Xylem

The Role

The Material Handler will handle materials necessary for production, line setup, preparation, and crating within the assembly department. This position supports the 3rd shift, from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am.

Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver and set up materials for production and assembly
  • Understand department workflows, processes, and assembly requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and pump trucks
  • Mark materials and containers for identification
  • Record quantities of materials received or distributed
  • Use computers to enter records
  • Transport stored items using material handling equipment
  • Load and unload trailers with palletized and non-palletized products
  • Follow safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Support division results and performance
  • Address internal and external customer needs
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or assembly environments
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or ERP systems
Work Environment & Physical Demands

The environment varies between hot and cold, with exposure to noise, dust, and bright lighting. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing long periods, and occasional bending or crawling. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to temperature extremes and noise.

Salary Range

$46,600.00 - $74,600.00
