The Water Spider (Material Handler) is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted workflow at the Point of Use (POU) to facilitate faster market delivery. The role focuses on minimizing variation in production, enhancing productivity, shortening process lead times, and reducing waste. The incumbent must work within the designed system, identify and eliminate constraints, deliver materials to work centers, and maintain accurate warehouse records.

Location: Thomasville, GA

Essential Functions

• Represent materials to manufacturing supervisors and technicians.
• Proactively manage material requirements at the point of use.
• Verify stock conformance to specifications.
• Distribute parts/materials and respond to schedule changes.
• Maintain warehouse system transactions, including put away, cycle count, pick, and tracking.
• Track process defects and misplaced materials.
• Record material distribution and report performance.
• Conduct cycle counts and monitor VMI program at POU.
• Follow all safety rules.
• Check assembler requirements, shop stock, and Kanban performance daily.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

• Manufacturing experience recommended.
• Good reading, writing, and math skills required.

Physical Skills & Effort

Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs, work standing for up to 12 hours, and operate material handling equipment. Must adhere to safety protocols and use PPE as required.
