Job Summary

Under general supervision, this employee performs duties related to handling, receipting for pick-up, transfer, and delivery of all Postal Mail. Comply with WFS site security procedures. Remain aware of staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities, and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

1. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
2. Performs warehouse functions such as postage and package handling, including moving, stacking, weighing, labeling, scanning, etc.
3. May operate or check company vehicles and mechanized loading equipment; drive company automotive equipment for transporting cargo packages. Not all positions require operating motorized equipment.
4. Able to pass TSA/Homeland Security background check of 10 years and a drug screen.
5. HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
6. Some positions require a valid state driver's license (standard or enhanced).
7. Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
8. Ability to speak, read, and write English.

This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to lift 30 lbs. without assistance and up to 70 lbs. with assistance.
• Able to work in indoor/outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
