Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 5am - 6pm (You could work 1st, 2nd, or Mid shifts)

The Material Handler Receiving Lead should master all Material Handler 2 responsibilities, demonstrating efficiency in equipment operation and daily transaction codes within the department. The Receiving Lead oversees daily functions, sets high standards for the Receiving department, and assists the Receiving Supervisor as needed. This individual must perform all Material Handler 2 responsibilities and some SAP transactions proficiently, while coaching and mentoring Material Handlers. Material handlers are expected to maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace, manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift over 100 lbs. Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and follow directions is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in all pre-shift processes and conduct start-of-shift meetings professionally.
  • Lead the team with clear and concise directions on the floor.
  • Perform receiving functions, including identifying products, sorting inbound shipments/returns, and transferring inbound shipments to docks or return bins.
  • Safely load/unload trucks using manual methods, sit-down forklifts, or pallet jacks.
  • Oversee department activities to ensure timely completion of workloads.
  • Set high standards for Material Handlers in unloading, sorting, inspecting, storing, and replenishing materials.
  • Communicate effectively within the department and with other departments.
  • Identify training opportunities, mentor Material Handlers, and assist with computer programs and SAP functions.
  • Participate in disciplinary actions and promote safety compliance.
  • Use RF devices and SAP for systematic functions related to inbound materials.
  • Participate in cycle counting and verify received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Manually handle boxes and items, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Adapt to workflow changes and designate final destinations for incoming materials.
  • Review reports related to SKU locations, replenishment, and pick reports.
  • Coach and train staff, provide feedback to supervisors, and use various equipment safely.
  • Ensure all paperwork related to inbound deliveries is properly documented.
  • Monitor work to ensure materials are secured before storage.
  • Work in other departments as needed and meet attendance requirements, including long hours, nights, or weekends as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive, clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Strong work ethic and safety knowledge.
  • Experience with sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers; certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
  • Basic organizational, mathematical, and computer skills.
  • Ability to manually lift 50 lbs regularly and over 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work at heights, stand, walk, sit, and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and move trailers with a yard dog within the complex.
