Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials and equipment using a forklift on the shop floor. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stocking, order picking, and basic counting while following safety standards.

Work involves standing and operating heavy machinery; candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform repetitive motions as part of daily tasks. Training and supervision provided on shifts 1–3.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write English; French optional in Quebec.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Must be able to sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and grasp for long periods.
• Safety mindset and adherence to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using a forklift.
• Load and unload trucks; verify items loaded/unloaded.
• Select and package products for customer orders.
• Perform cycle counts and identify defective materials.
• Inspect forklift at shift start and report issues.
• Support health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.
• Contribute to general site housekeeping and cross-functional tasks.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Your responsibilities

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Shift Times

• 1st shift: 6am-2pm
• 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm
• 3rd shift: 10pm-6am

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements

• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
