Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to act as a liaison between Sales, Purchasing and Warehouse teams, and to support production and distribution operations. The role involves coordinating transportation, maintaining files, and drafting communications to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials.

You will handle ad hoc reporting, respond to high volumes of inquiries, and uphold Health, Safety and Lean practices while supporting the operations team in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two years planner/scheduler experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of MASS and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to read/write English and perform basic math.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities
  • Act as liaison between Sales, Purchasing and Warehouse personnel to resolve issues and problems
  • Schedules basic transportation needs and communicates with truck drivers for standard shipping
  • Limited knowledge of customer specific transportation requirements, SFC/P-copy process
  • Edit all truck loads in system for accuracy and delivered in a timely manner for specific processes or commodities
  • Deliver work orders to appropriate personnel
  • Draft necessary job-related correspondence, memorandums and emails
  • Create ad hoc reports when needed
  • Respond to a high daily volume of communication
  • Has a thorough understanding of the work order process
  • Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and lean initiatives and requirements
  • Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required
  • Assist in any other duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years planner/scheduler work experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MASS and Microsoft Office
  • Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
  • Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
Preferred Requirements:
  • 1 year customer service experience
  • Completion or working towards a 2-year degree
Available Shift: 6:00am -2:30pm M-FPay: $23.10-$25.50
