Job description

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will unload incoming shipments using hand tools, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • You will prepare and package material for shipment by selecting containers, cushioning, labeling, banding, sealing, weighing, and securing for the mode of transportation and destination of items.
  • You will analyze trends and maintain high and low inventories of material for truck stocking or pre-expended bins.
  • You will label and identify shelves, drawers and bins for ease of location and identification of material stored.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Fork-Lift operating license
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience of the following; 1) Storing and issuing products and supplies; 2) Using automated systems to enter and extract data; 3) Performing inventories of materials/supplies; and 4) Completing forms relating to quantity and stock description of materials.
