Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking a Material Coordinator (SCA) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.

This full-time on-site role requires rotating 4-week shifts including days, weekends, and nights, with responsibilities to coordinate and expedite aircraft material and assemblies across departments. You will follow production and shipping priorities, work with warehousing processes and maintain compliance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of warehouse shipping, receiving, picking and inventory experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA.
• Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite flow of aircraft material and parts and assemblies within or between departments according to production/shipping schedules or priorities.
• Work segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled by difficulty or responsibility.
• Handle functions with narrow scope or limited difficulty.
• Consider program requirements with variations from established guidelines.
• Have working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature and manuals.
• Apply analytical ability to define problems, collect data, and take action per guidelines.
• Responsible for shipping hazardous material.

Description

Work Schedule:

We offer a quarterly work schedule, and employees will rotate between 4 weeks of day shift, followed by 4 weeks of weekends, and 4 weeks of night shift. Therefore, candidates need to be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts along with weekends.

Description:

The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of aircraft material and parts and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors’ priorities.

What you will be responsible for:

• Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
• Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty
• The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
• This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
• A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines -An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
• Responsible for shipping hazardous material.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse shipping, receiving, picking and warehouse cycle count inventory experience highly desired.
• At least one (1) year of experience and operational knowledge making supply entries in NALCOMIS/OOMA is highly desired.
• Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs is a plus.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
• The employee must be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Must be able to operate electric powered walk-behind forklift (Big Joe) and/or Forklift tractor.
• The environment characteristic for this position
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. In order to obtain a Secret Clearance, US citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) in a timely manner.
