Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking a Material Coordinator (SCA) to coordinate and expedite the flow of aircraft material and parts across departments in line with production and shipping priorities.

The role requires at least two years of warehouse experience, familiarity with warehousing systems, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. The work schedule rotates across day, weekend, and night shifts, with onsite responsibilities and potential for career growth.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years in warehouse shipping, receiving, picking and warehouse cycle count inventory experience.
  • At least one year of experience and operational knowledge making supply entries in NALCOMIS/OOMA.
  • Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite flow of aircraft material and parts within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules or priorities.
  • Work usually segregated by commodity area or function and controlled by level of difficulty or responsibility.
  • Assignments relate to stable segments of technical supply management operations or to functions with narrow scope.
  • Consider program requirements with variations from established guidelines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of governing supply systems, policies and procedures, and organizational needs.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to define problems and recommend actions.

Work Schedule:

We offer a quarterly work schedule, and employees will rotate between 4 weeks of day shift, followed by 4 weeks of weekends, and 4 weeks of night shift. Therefore, candidates need to be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts along with weekends.

The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of aircraft material and parts and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
  • Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty
  • The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
  • This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines -An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Responsible for shipping hazardous material.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse shipping, receiving, picking and warehouse cycle count inventory experience highly desired.
  • At least one (1) year of experience and operational knowledge making supply entries in NALCOMIS/OOMA is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs is a plus.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
  • The employee must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate electric powered walk-behind forklift (Big Joe) and/or Forklift tractor.
  • The environment characteristic for this position
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. In order to obtain a Secret Clearance, US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) in a timely manner.
