Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

A non-exempt position responsible for supervising material movement and 3PL material processes. Ensures timely delivery of products, including kits and manufactured parts, to their correct locations. The 3PL Material Coordinator executes the department's strategy, aligns with BAC's values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Prior experience in Supply Chain or as a 3PL Material Coordinator.
• Decisiveness and ability to make timely decisions.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Effective planning and goal achievement skills.
• Excellent prioritization skills and flexibility to adapt to changing plans.
• Logical and systematic problem-solving approach.
• Skilled forklift driver and cart tugger operator.
• Knowledge of Lean Principles.
• Ability to interpret the Production Schedule accurately.
• Knowledge of FabSheets & Groups, inventory locations, job paperwork, and material delivery points.
• Understanding of line indexing processes.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to report data effectively across organizational levels.
• Maintains shipping and receiving records per regulations and policies.
• Establishes controls to prevent defects or damage during material movement.
• Optimizes space in plant, warehouse, and yard.
• Creates inventory control processes to improve value stream.

NATURE & SCOPE

This role reports to the Materials Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage and improve the Material Movement process, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency.
• Document processes to promote sustainability.
• Collaborate with BAC counterparts to share best practices and ensure alignment.
• Review job paperwork for excess material, BOM inconsistencies, and potential issues.
• Coordinate all 3PL material movements and ensure proper delivery to production.
• Maintain organized staging areas for materials.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Temperature varies with outside conditions.
• Extended hours may be required.
