Material Coordinator - 2nd Shift (Finance)

POSITION PURPOSE

This non-exempt position primarily supervises material movement and 3PL material processes. It ensures timely delivery of products, including kits and manufactured parts, to the correct locations. The Material Coordinator owns the execution of departmental strategies and goals, embodying BAC's values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Prior experience in Supply Chain or 3PL material coordination.
• Decisiveness and the ability to make timely, difficult decisions.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Capability to plan and execute to meet goals.
• Excellent prioritization skills and flexibility to adapt to changing plans.
• Analytical thinking using logical, systematic approaches.
• Skilled forklift driver and cart tugger operator.
• Knowledge of Lean Principles.
• Ability to interpret Production Schedules accurately.
• Knowledge of FabSheets & Groups, inventory locations, and all relevant job paperwork.
• Understanding of material delivery points and line indexing procedures.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to record and report data effectively across organizational levels.
• Maintains shipping and receiving records compliant with regulations and policies.
• Establishes controls to ensure zero defect or damage during material handling.
• Optimizes space in plant, warehouse, and yard.
• Creates inventory control processes to improve value stream efficiencies.

NATURE & SCOPE

This role reports to the Materials Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage and improve the Material Movement process, focusing on cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Document processes and procedures to promote sustainability.
• Collaborate with BAC counterparts globally to share best practices and maintain alignment.
• Review job paperwork for excess material, BOM inconsistencies, and potential issues.
• Coordinate all 3PL material movements.
• Handle movement of all kitted material to production departments.
• Ensure on-time delivery of all products to correct locations.
• Maintain an organized staging area for materials.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work environment varies with outside temperatures.
• Extended hours may be required.
