Job description

**Job Description**

BAE Systems is seeking a Material Control Specialist (MCS) to join its organization.

Responsibilities:

+ Handle all aspects of material handling functions including but not limited to receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory in the warehouse and other store locations within the plant.

+ Open containers using hand tools

+ Counts, weighs, and samples materials

+ Utilize computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information.

+ Handle the loads and unloads of materials onto or from pallets, trays, multi-level racks, and machines by hand

+ Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand or with equipment.

+ Operate equipment inclusive of forklifts (electric or diesel powered), pickers, and pallet jacks (electric or manual).

+ Follow all departmental material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements while putting safety as a top priority.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work experience

+ Proficient forklift operator

+ Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment

+ Strong attention to detail and organization skills

+ Basic math skills

+ Willing to work in a team environment

+ Ability to physically lift objects up to 40 lbs. independently

+ Availability to work overtime as needed

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Experience with Oracle based MRP system

+ Ability to use Zebra handheld scan gun equipment

**Pay Information**

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
