Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Spencer CTC in Spencer, MA, is hiring a Substance Use Counselor for the Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program. This full-time role offers an early morning schedule from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and provides a comprehensive benefits package.

You will deliver individual and group counseling for opioid use disorder, develop treatment plans, document care, coordinate referrals, and participate in crisis and case management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Licensure or credentialing required within 60 days.
• Bachelor’s-level candidates encouraged to apply if pursuing credentials within 30–60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate needs and coordinate referrals to other programs.
• Provide crisis intervention and case management as needed.
