Presque Isle Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling, assessment, and treatment planning. The role requires Maine CADC or LADC (CCS considered) with options for growth within a leading MAT provider.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred in social/health services
• Degree from an accredited college/university
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone)
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, relapse prevention
• Documentation experience per state/federal guidelines
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission)
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams

Responsabilidades

• Provide high quality counseling in individual and group settings
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed
• Ensure thorough documentation of patient care and incidents
• Prepare individualized treatment plans
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments
• Assess patient needs and refer to other programs when needed
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients
• Provide crisis intervention when needed
• Perform case management to ensure quality care
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients
