Parkersburg Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor for its outpatient MAT program in Parkersburg, WV. The counselor will provide individual and group counseling, documentation, and care coordination for opioid use disorder treatment.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in a social or health services field, experience in addiction or behavioral health settings, and familiarity with MAT, CBT, and MI.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions with substance use focus.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Documentation experience per state and federal guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care is timely and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Initial and follow up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs as needed.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention to patients when needed.
• Provide case management duties and liaise with referral sources.

Formação académica

Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field

Degree from an accredited college or university

Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings

Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone)

Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions

Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention

Documentation experience per guidelines
