Rumford Comprehensive Treatment Center in Rumford, Maine, seeks a Substance Use Counselor for our Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program. You will deliver high-quality individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder, within a fast-paced, growth-oriented team.

Requirements include Maine CADC or LADC (CCS considered), HS diploma or GED (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred), and experience in addiction recovery.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in social/health services preferred.
• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience in individual and group counseling.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, relapse prevention.
• Clinical documentation experience.
• Familiarity with state/federal regulations.
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of care and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate needs and arrange referrals as needed.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Provide case management to ensure quality care.
• Liaise between referral sources and patients as needed.
