Job summary

Brooks Brothers is seeking a skilled Fitter/Tailor in our Alterations department to deliver expert alterations and fabric knowledge to customers on the sales floor. You will work with the store team to meet productivity goals while maintaining the highest level of quality and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in tailoring.
• Knowledge of clothing and shirt construction and fabrics.
• Previous experience in a retail environment or in custom clothing sales.
• Scheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate with customers on the sales floor.
• Proficient in special order tools, fabrics and programs.

Responsibilities

• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments to meet customer needs, using approved methods.
• Achieve personal productivity and assist in meeting productivity goals.
• Utilize Brooks Brothers systems to meet productivity goals.
• Provide highest level of quality and customer service within call dates.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, buttons, and linings.
• Model company policies and dress code; uphold service standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat store environment and support store workflow.
• Represent the brand as an ambassador with respect to conduct and inclusivity.
