Job summary

Pennsylvania Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a Master’s Level Family Counselor (FBMHP) to join our Family Based Mental Health program. This is a full-time, on-site role offering comprehensive employer-paid trainings and supervision in the ESFT model.

The position provides intensive therapy to children, adolescents, and families across home, school, and community settings, with a focus on preventing out-of-home placements. A Master’s degree and CASSP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in human services fields (counseling, psychology, social work, criminal justice, education, rehabilitation)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and/or families in a CASSP-related program
• Volunteer and internship experience count toward experience
• Ability to transport clients in own car and valid driver’s license
• Ability to provide services in home, school, and community locations
• On-call coverage on a rotating schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and case management to help families navigate mental health challenges
• Work with parents/caregivers to strengthen family relationships and behavioural strategies for children
• Deliver community-based family therapy in home, school, and community locations
• Partner with a Bachelor’s-level Mental Health Worker to serve up to 8 families at a time
• Participate in weekly supervision (group and team) for clinical support and growth
• Engage in on-call crisis consultation as needed in rotating shifts
