Master PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor (HRTI)

ProSidian is a consulting firm that partners with US Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) and the Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) to deliver high‑risk Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) and Personnel Recovery (PR) training. This role is contracted on a 1099 basis with an on‑site location at Camp Lejeune, NC 28542 and across the southeastern United States.

Job Overview

The Master PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor (HRTI) provides realistic, high‑risk SERE and PR instruction to prepare SOF forces for isolation, captivity, and threat environments. The instructor develops, delivers, and assesses course material, coordinates training events, and supports continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop, update, review, and deliver all required subject matter, tactics, and procedures for SERE and PR courses.
• Perform pre‑course coordination and prepare schedules, training areas, and materials for all assigned training events.
• Create and deliver all required Code of Conduct (CoC), PR principles, and worldwide survival and evasion TTPs.
• Administer written and verbal assessments, student reviews, and coaching for students and mentoring functions.
• Generate training reports, after‑action reports (AARs), and evaluate course performance.
• Coordinate end‑of‑course recovery activities and events with staff and PTOC personnel.
• Assist in developing and training new contractor, active‑duty, and DoD civilian personnel.
• Research and assess technology to stay current on training capabilities.
• Analyze course content, trends, and student performance to recommend improvements.
• Perform RSO duties in support of SERE and PR training.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold the Master Instructor rating from MRTC PR/SERE, based on instructor performance and knowledge/skills assessment.
• Graduate of an approved DoD FSLC SERE course or equivalent (SERE 211, 215, 225). Must have DD214 or be willing to complete the MARFORSOC PR/SERE FSLC SERE course.
• Minimum of 3 years of US military service with an honorable discharge.
• Expertise in PR/SERE training consistent with joint personnel recovery standards.
• Ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate all SERE training components.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Commitment to continuous learning, mentorship, and strategic hiring practices.
• Security clearance required.
