GovCIO seeks a Master Network & Security Engineer to lead design, operation, troubleshooting, and improvement of enterprise network-security infrastructure. You will own Palo Alto NGFW environments, Panorama management, and HA deployments while coordinating with SOC and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field; equivalent exp considered.
• 10+ years in network engineering or security infrastructure operations.
• 6+ years Palo Alto firewall experience in production environments.
• Operational expertise with Palo Alto Panorama and HA configurations.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPNs and log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and lifecycle management of Palo Alto NGFW environments.
• Manage firewall policies via Panorama; upgrades, backups, and onboarding.
• Implement zero-trust and least-privilege security policies.
• Configure NAT, VPNs, decryption, URL filtering, and App-ID policies.
• Oversee network segmentation, VLANs, and security zoning.
• Maintain HA deployments and coordinate failover testing and upgrades.
• Collaborate with SOC, cloud, and leadership teams to reduce risk.
• Mentor junior engineers and document architecture standards.
