Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our Meat Department. You will cut, wrap, weigh, and label fresh and prepared meats and assist with seafood and deli areas. Maintain sanitation standards and stock items to ensure a great member experience.

We hire experienced team members who can rotate duties, follow safety guidelines, and deliver friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced club environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions about meat, poultry and seafood and makes recommendations.
• Cuts, grinds, weighs, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to company standards.
• Ensures the meat cases are fully stocked and maintains inventory levels.
• Rotates products by expiration date and follows disposal guidelines for damaged items.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and display areas in the meat department.
• Maintains compliance with club policies and performs other duties as assigned.
