Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician at our Wallingford, CT location. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, performing maintenance, and ensuring work is completed right the first time.

You will follow VIP processes, complete safety training, and participate in the 5-for-5 customer engagement program. The position requires working non-exempt, hourly hours with a standard 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• Two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Current, valid driver’s license and state inspection license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and follow all safety policies.
• Perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance on automotive systems per ASE scope.
• Initiate Service Work Orders and MPI prior to service and display throughout service.
• Return unused parts to Desk Team and manage parts flow carefully.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with safety and loss prevention policies.
• Train and certify in required LMS and safety programs.
