Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose, repair, and replace automotive parts, fluids, tires, and accessories. The role requires safe operation, strong communication, and adherence to VIP processes to deliver high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities include completing service work orders, MPI, and participating in the 5-for-5 engagement. ASE certifications and state inspections may be required based on position.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly and accurately.
• Diagnose and recommend automotive repairs and maintenance.
• Apply written instructions and service procedures.
• Maintain ASE certification status and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety as the top responsibility.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems.
• Initiate and display the Service Work Order before service.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Return parts to the Desk Team and manage correct inventory.
