Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a hands-on scientist to develop, optimize, validate, and implement laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS. You will design analytical methods, develop sample preparation workflows, and perform validation studies to bring new assays into routine clinical use.

Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams; troubleshoot and refine workflows, analyze complex datasets, and document procedures to ensure compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• BS degree with significant and relevant R&D experience in a similar laboratory.
• MS or PhD preferred in a related science field.
• Experience in quantitative MS method development, assay validation, chromatography, and instrument troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Designs and conducts experiments to develop new products or improve existing ones.
• Analyzes and interprets data from experiments and presents findings to management.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for laboratory equipment and processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Maintains accurate records of experiments and results in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stays up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to inform research and development efforts.
