Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Research and Development Scientist for the Core Lab at the Main Campus in Columbus, OH. You will develop and optimize laboratory-developed tests using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS, focusing on method development and assay validation.

You design experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with clinical teams to translate assays into routine use, with BS/MS/PhD qualifications and relevant R&D experience in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with significant and relevant R&D experience in a similar laboratory.
• Master or Doctorate degree in science and experience in an appropriate field preferred.
• Experience in quantitative mass spectrometry and assay validation.

Responsibilities

• Designs and conducts experiments to develop new products or improve existing ones.
• Analyzes and interprets data from experiments and presents findings to management.
• Develops and maintains SOPs for laboratory equipment and processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Maintains accurate records of experiments in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and advances in technology.
