Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Scientist to support development, validation and transfer of FDA and non-FDA analytical methods for small molecule analytes in California. You will plan, perform and document bench-level experiments and contribute to project team efforts with potential leadership duties.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in lab techniques, data processing (Excel, R) and ability to work independently or with teammates.

Qualifications

• BS with 5+ years of related experience; MS or PhD with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience working in a chemistry laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, performs and executes laboratory experiments for defined and novel protocols.
• Reports status of assigned projects by preparing detailed reports and documentation that interpret results.
• Utilizes advanced methods by staying current with literature and training.
• Generate, compile, analyze and evaluate analytical data for technical reports, SOPs and validation reports.
• Identify problems, investigate alternatives and recommend actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical difficulties.
