Job summary

Bruker Daltonics, a leading mass spectrometry manufacturer, seeks a Field Service Engineer focused on key account support in the Midwest. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain high-resolution MS instruments, with emphasis on Bruker MBT systems, traveling to customer sites as needed.

The role is based in Michigan, involves up to 80% travel, and requires a strong background in biochemistry or related fields, hands-on electronics, and customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.
• Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nanoLC required.
• Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology.
• Experience with GLP and working in a regulated environment.
• Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to travel up to 80% in the Mid-West region.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize and train customers for basic operation of the equipment.
• Perform remote support and diagnostic analysis to determine on-site maintenance needs.
• Organize and prioritize schedule with customers for on-site or remote support.
• Re-qualify instruments after service by running compounds for verification.
• Secure customer acceptance of installation and maintenance sign-off.
• Perform installation of new systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Communicate with Service and Support Center and Regional Management.
• Perform other duties as required.
