Job summary

Bruker Daltonics seeks a Field Service Engineer focused on key account support in the Midwest, based in Minneapolis, MN. You will install and support high-resolution Mass Spectrometry Instrumentation, primarily Bruker MBT instruments, and travel up to 80% to service customers.

The role requires a B.S. in Biotech/Biology/Chemistry or equivalent, 3+ years diagnosing mass spectrometers, and experience with HPLC/nanoLC. Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.
• Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nanoLC.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize and train customers for basic operation of the equipment.
• Perform remote support and diagnostic analysis to determine if on-site maintenance is required.
• Organize and prioritize schedule with customer requirements for on-site visits and remote assistance.
• Re-qualify the instrument after service repair by running complex compounds for verification.
• Secure customer acceptance of installation and maintenance sign-off.
• Perform installation of new systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Communicate with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists.
• Perform other duties as required.
