Job summary

Carter Machinery is seeking a Marketing Program Manager to lead marketing initiatives across business units in the Richmond and Salem, VA area. You will drive data-driven ideas, coordinate with Caterpillar partners, and oversee planning and execution to maximize marketing ROI.

Requirements include 3+ years in marketing, a college degree (preferred), and willingness to travel within Carter’s service territory. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a professional marketing environment or related field.
• College degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout Carter’s service territory, including overnight stays.
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with a range of subjects.

Responsibilities

• Proactively pitch marketing ideas to program stakeholders that are data-driven and aimed at solving business problems.
• Serve as marketing liaison and SME for designated business leaders and Caterpillar partners to ensure marketing alignment with objectives.
• Own annual marketing planning process and make recommendations based on past campaign performance.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate new or improved tactics, promotions, and CTAs.
• Build and submit creative briefs for marketing materials.
• Develop content targeted at specific segments aligned with customer journeys.
• Work with Marketing to ensure quality in photography, video, and graphic design assets.
