Job summary

D.R. Horton in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Marketing Intern to gain hands-on experience across departments, projects, research, reporting, and office and field activities.

Interns are assigned to a primary department and gain experience through rotations, project work, and learning opportunities based on departmental needs. You will participate in training programs, collaborate with teams across functions, and explore future full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated
• Pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications or related fields
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, or D.R. Horton business functions
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a professional team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn new software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to adapt to office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings
• Physical requirements may include travel or field exposure

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function
• Assist with department-specific projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, SOPs
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand company operations
• Participate in training programs, departmental rotations, and other learning opportunities
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton that may lead to future full-time employment
• Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to travel including occasional overnight travel
