Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Market Development Senior Manager within the Global Client Growth team to lead marketing and business development for the firm’s financial services industry and asset management practices. You will strategize and execute go-to-market plans, collaborate with partners and lawyers, and drive opportunities across markets with a focus on visibility and client opportunity.

Qualifications

• Seven years of marketing, business development and/or sales experience in a professional services firm or closely related work environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry.
• MBA or similar graduate degree preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior professionals and help them succeed in meeting their objectives.
• Ability to work independently with a hands-on approach to objectives.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle priorities.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Identify market opportunities and co-develop and implement industry-centric business development strategies.
• Develop and manage market-specific content campaigns, marketing collateral, and events to increase visibility and generate client opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape in financial services.
• Collaborate with PR to turn opportunities into media exposure and identify lawyers as sources.
• Develop pipeline development process and lead the key account program in financial services.
• Identify revenue expansion opportunities and cross-market initiatives matching firm solutions to client needs.
• Develop and maintain personal connections in the business community for lead generation.
• Collaborate with lawyers to execute BD activities and support pitches and proposals team with content creation.
• Assist in budgeting for annual marketing and BD activities.
• Mentor and train teammates and orient new lawyers to Client Growth capabilities.
