Job summary

K&L Gates seeks a Market Development Specialist to join our firm’s marketing team in a multi-office role. You will support practice groups and lawyers, craft client proposals, and coordinate marketing materials across firmwide initiatives.

You will interact with lawyers, office managers and the CRM team, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables and effective client communications. The role emphasizes teamwork and independent initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to write client materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation.
• High maturity to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients.
• Excellent computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; internet research.
• Knowledge of InterAction CRM software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist practice groups and lawyers with marketing projects and support.
• Produce proposals, collateral, and client materials; respond to opportunities.
• Draft and edit marketing collateral, slide decks, and event invites.
• Maintain practice group contact lists in the CRM database.
• Create and maintain experience lists for practice areas and lawyer activities.
• Prepare competitive intelligence and market research reports.
• Coordinate articles, newsletters, and marketing communications.
• Plan and support events, logistics, and follow-up activities.
• Track business development information in the firm’s proposal system.
• Support public relations and membership management in trade groups.
