ChemPoint is seeking a Market Developer for Plastics & Elastomers to drive new business opportunities by providing application consultations and technical insights throughout the sales cycle. The role spans Bellevue, WA and The Woodlands, TX, offering a hybrid work model with strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration.

You will partner with customers, product managers, and marketing to identify opportunities, build campaigns, and deliver training while supporting the expansion of product

Qualifications

• Science or Technical degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ sales or industry or product experience within relevant focus area.
• Experience and sound knowledge of using PC and Windows OS.
• Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite.
• Technical proficiency for select products and industry segments, with the ability to quickly learn.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales campaigns by performing targeted sales calls to identify and refine product value propositions.
• Support Product Line growth by managing full sales cycle and providing technical support during transition to Account Representative.
• Develop technical proficiency by working closely with customers, suppliers, and Product Managers.
• Deliver product and industry training for sales representatives and assist with campaign collateral.

Primary Purpose

The Market Developer acts as a technical product specialist, securing new business opportunities within the Plastics & Elastomers market. In this role, you will identify and develop opportunities across a wide range of end markets and industry segments.Sales goals are approached and achieved through formulation/application consultation with customers. You will use both reactive methods: inbound inquiry, internal consult calls, and proactive methods: call campaigns, cross selling, referrals, to meet your goals. This role uncovers deep market understanding and communicates that information back to our marketing team so we can proactively solve more problems.

What You'll Do

Execute sales campaigns by performing targeted sales calls, interacting primarily with project specifiers and technical/R&D personnel toidentify, test, and refine product value propositions and share results with the Product Manager.

Achieve customer-focused solutions and work toward product line goals by definingobjective, environment, resources, and plan. Foresee andmitigatesrisks associatedtocustomer/supplier needs and potential solutions.

Support Product Line growth by taking sales opportunities through the full sales cycle and providingadditionaltechnical support as needed after the new business is transitioned to an Account Representative for maintenance.

Develop anddemonstratetechnicalproficiency: working closely with customers, technical suppliercontactsand Product Managers.

Build and deliver Product and Industry training; provide product/application specific training as necessary for sales representatives.

Assistsales representatives with technical sales calls to support application development and make effective product recommendations.

Assist Product Manager in campaign strategy development by helping to create and refine campaign/product collateral (internal and online).

What You’ll Need

Science or Technical degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience isrequired;e.g.Chemistry, Biology, any Engineering discipline

3+ years’ salesorindustryorproduct experience within relevant focus area

Experience and sound knowledge of using PC and Windows OS

Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite

Pay and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $80,320 – $97,750 annually.
• The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
