OVERVIEW

The Market Attendant will serve as a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Key responsibilities include greeting members and guests, taking orders, and providing product recommendations; expertly crafting coffee and espresso drinks; maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee station and dining area; and managing inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as needed. The role also involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, handling member transactions accurately, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a passion for coffee culture, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous barista or customer service experience is preferred. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with merchandising and promotional activities to enhance overall market engagement. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare a variety of coffee and tea beverages, smoothies, and snacks following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Customer Service: Deliver friendly, prompt service to all members and guests, greet them as they arrive, and engage in conversation to enhance their experience.
  • Sales and Promotions: Effectively promote menu items and special promotions to maximize sales and customer interest.
  • Store Operations: Manage daily operations, including opening and closing the coffee stand, keeping a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and prepare stock for effective merchandise display.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with team members to enhance workflow, share duties, and ensure a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Customer Feedback: Address customer inquiries and feedback to improve service and product offerings continually.
