Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Manager of Data Strategy and BI to lead data-driven decisions for US Commercial Market Access and Patient Services. You will shape data strategy, govern BI standards, and partner with BTS and analytics teams to deliver scalable analytics capabilities.

You will report to the Associate Director and drive data acquisition, quality, and governance across data domains, enabling insightful KPI reporting and predictive analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, MIS, Engineering, or Operations.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience leading projects independently.
• Experience with syndicated pharmaceutical data sources and claims data.
• Strong working knowledge of BI tools including Power BI.
• Hands-on data modeling, database design, and ETL concepts.
• Experience with SQL, Trino, and cloud platforms (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of market access data architecture and data flows.
• Identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues.
• Collaborate with BTS and data engineering to optimize data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop data acquisition and enablement plans across Market Access data domains.
• Serve as SME for data related to key Market Access domains.
• Lead design and implementation of new BI platforms and analytics solutions.
• Drive platform enhancements based on evolving business needs.
• Establish BI standards, governance, and best practices.
• Gather and manage KPI requirements with stakeholders.
• Define business rules ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Translate business needs into technical specs for BI solutions.
• Execute data assessments and make use case recommendations.
