Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manager of Data Strategy and BI to shape data roadmap for Market Access and Patient Services. You will drive data architecture, ensure data quality, and partner with BTS and analytics teams to deliver transformative BI solutions.

You will lead data integration efforts, govern BI standards, and translate business needs into technical specs, enabling KPI-driven decisions across Pharma data domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, Engineering, or Operations.
• 5+ years in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field.
• 3-5 years leading projects independently.
• Experience with market access data concepts (claims, payors, government).
• Analytics consulting experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources.
• Proven BI initiatives delivery from concept to production.
• Strong analytical mindset with passion for data.
• Hands-on proficiency in BI tools (Power BI).
• Experience with data modeling and database design.
• Hands-on ability with SQL, Trino, Snowflake, AWS for ETL.
• Strong data enablement with dimensional models and ETL workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market access data architecture and data flows.
• Proactively identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues.
• Collaborate with BTS and data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex data-related problems and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and execute a plan for data acquisition and enablement across Market Access data domains.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for data related to key Market Access domains.
• Lead the design, build, and implementation of new BI platforms and analytics solutions.
• Drive ongoing platform enhancements based on evolving business needs and technology.
• Establish and maintain BI standards, governance frameworks.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and manage KPIs.
• Define and maintain business rules ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Translate complex business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Execute data assessments across assets and make use case recommendations.
