Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manager of Data Strategy and BI to develop and execute data strategy plans supporting Market Access and Patient Services. The role reports to the Associate Director – Market Access and Patient Services Data Transformation and partners with enterprise capabilities within APEX.

The incumbent will lead data architecture knowledge, data quality initiatives, and the design of new BI platforms while driving governance, standards, and KPI-driven insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Engineering, or Operations is required.
• 5+ years of BI, data analytics experience.
• 3-5 years of leading projects independently.
• Experience with Managed Market controls and pricing, pharma supply chain.
• Experience in analytics consulting for technology/analytics services is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of market access data architecture and data flows.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Collaborate with BTS and data engineering to optimize data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Lead data acquisition and enablement across Market Access domains.
• Serve as SME for data in key Market Access domains (claims, payor and plan hierarchy).
• Lead design, build, and implementation of new BI platforms and analytics solutions.
• Drive platform enhancements based on evolving business needs.
• Establish and maintain BI standards, governance frameworks.
• Gather, document, and manage KPI requirements with stakeholders.
• Define and maintain business rules ensuring data accuracy across reporting.
• Translate complex business needs into technical BI specifications.
• Execute data assessments and make use case recommendations.
