Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manager of Data Strategy and Business Intelligence in the US to shape data strategy for Market Access and Patient Services. You will partner with BTS and data engineering to build BI capabilities, ensure data quality, and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions across claims, payor, and formulary data domains.

The role requires 5+ years in BI/data analytics, strong Power BI skills, and hands-on SQL, data modeling, and ETL experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Engineering, or Operations is required.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience leading projects independently.
• Experience with market access data concepts and pharma data sources is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision making.
• Hands-on proficiency with BI tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL workflows, and SQL across multiple technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of market access data architecture and data flows.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Collaborate with BTS and data engineering to optimize data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop data acquisition plans across Market Access domains.
• Lead design, build, and implementation of new BI platforms and analytics solutions.
• Define business rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting.
• Translate business needs into technical specs for BI solutions.
• Execute data assessments and propose use-case recommendations.
