Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer (Hybrid) based in Houston, TX to lead maritime design for container terminals, ports, marinas, and coastal development projects. You will perform calculations, develop plans and details, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant structures.

Required BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience with a PE license; Master’s degree and 10+ years are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Design and planning on maritime projects including ports and harbors.
  • Prepare structural calculations and develop specifications and details.
  • Perform analyses using standard procedures and identify discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers and work with budgets/schedules.
  • Occasional site visits as project requires.
