Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to be based in Houston, TX. This hybrid position will support the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership throughout multiple phases of project development and execution.

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead and perform complex civil engineering assignments, coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical review of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering required; PE licensed candidate preferred.
• Experience leading civil infrastructure design and reviews.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design and technical activities for infrastructure projects from planning through final design and construction support.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications and other deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight and quality reviews to ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate civil design activities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop engineering solutions for complex conditions and resolve design issues.
• Support scope, schedule and budget development with project managers.
• Participate in client meetings and coordinate with agencies and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Support proposals, technical presentations and project pursuits.
• Perform construction-phase engineering support and review submittals.

BA/BS in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Texas PE license
