Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer based in Orange, CA. This hybrid role supports planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership across project phases.

You will collaborate with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, on-budget solutions. The ideal candidate has a PE license and a track record of managing complex infrastructure assignments, with strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design and technical activities for infrastructure projects from planning through final design and construction support.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications and other project deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight and quality reviews to ensure compliance with codes, standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate civil design activities with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, planning and construction.
• Develop engineering solutions for complex project conditions and resolve technical issues during design and construction.
• Support project managers in developing scopes of work, schedules and budgets.
• Participate in client meetings and coordinate with public agencies and stakeholders as required.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and support project pursuit activities as needed.

Education

BA/BS in Civil Engineering + 8 years experience
