Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Robotics Autonomy Engineer to design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art robotic systems for maritime environments. You will contribute to perception, navigation, and control stacks, collaborating with systems engineers and hardware leads across the full development lifecycle.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and performance in dynamic sea conditions, with opportunities to work on USV/UUV platforms and multi-agent autonomy.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in robotics or systems engineering for equipment hardware.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS 2 for sensor integration and system orchestration.
  • Proficiency in C++ or Python for real-time robotics applications.
  • Know-how in state estimation, localization, path planning, and control.
  • Knowledge of perception techniques including sensor fusion, SLAM, LiDAR, camera, or sonar.
  • Develop software for embedded Linux with version control, CI/CD, packaging, and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication of technical topics.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, CE, or Robotics Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate robotic systems for maritime applications.
  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams through architecture, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
