Ports America is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to lead teams across multiple ports, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations. You will supervise foremen and labor, manage staffing and overtime, and work closely with terminal departments to optimize equipment use.

The role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and a focus on safety and procedural adherence. A bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant management experience is required, along with a TWIC card and a

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree required or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of management experience.
TWIC card issued by DHS required.
Valid US Driver's License required.

Mansioni

Ensure safety programs and accident prevention procedures.
Supervise Foreman, Labor, and other personnel to meet performance and customer needs.
Manage daily labor needs and control overtime costs.
Coordinate with M&R/Terminal Departments for equipment allocation.
Maintain labor relations and adherence to CBAs.
Address performance issues and take corrective actions.
Advise leadership on labor matters and assist with complaints.
Provide training and feedback to staff.
Develop and improve operating procedures.
Ensure certifications and training are current.
