Job summary

RTX is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the Sea Based X-Band Radar program aboard an ocean-going vessel. You will rotate three 70-day cycles per year, install and support LAN hardware/software, and manage system security and data transfers.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and security clearance; travel and long periods at sea are expected. The salary range is 86,800 USD to 165,200 USD annually, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer systems administration and fault isolation in networked environments.
• Experience with Windows Server including DNS, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of UNIX, scripting and basic network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, and support the radar LAN hardware and software.
• Maintain expertise in network and computer hardware/software interconnection.
• Archive data and manage data transfers from the vessel.
• Manage user accounts and system security settings.
• Support mission operations staff and collaborate with engineers.
