Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled radar systems engineer for shipboard tests in Pascagoula, MS. You will install, test, and upgrade radar systems aboard naval ships, ensuring functionality and reporting results to stakeholders.

Travel up to 30% is required, including at-sea periods onboard US Navy ships. Requirements include a STEM degree with 2+ years experience, Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and MATLAB familiarity.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with combat system operation and radar installation/integration.
• 2+ years with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in operational environments.
• 2+ years experience in network troubleshooting and enclave connectivity.
• Industry certifications such as CISCO CCNA or Red Hat OS.
• Prior experience aboard U.S. Naval ships.
• Familiarity with MATLAB for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical member of the Shipboard Test Team with stakeholders.
• Install, checkout, test radar equipment and upgrades; maintain records.
• Ensure upkeep and functionality of the Ship's radar systems.
• Provide daily status reports to the area lead and key stakeholders.
• Establish relationships with engineering and customer representatives.
• Provide underway system support for at-sea test events.
• Travel up to 30% to testing locations including at-sea periods.
